"Sounds from Within"
Music has it's own way to communicate with us, to make us feel, hear and think, but also to make us heal.
In other moments, music has an ethereal behaviour that help us to find the answers that dwell in our inner selves. For this piece I don't make any statement as a composer, I don't seek to say to the listener what to think or feel.
I'm composing a piece that becomes a portal to the inner self of each listener, and at the same time, a portal to the communion with the other. Trough the act of listening I would like the listener to remember the sounds that dwell on our human shared subconscious.

Say Twine (Alessio Cavalazzi) is working in his first album as soloist (Ohimeme).

His LIVE performance charms the audience with a mix of genres and techniques that unites the violin with electronic music.
His sound universe unifies ambient, classical and IDM.

From a sample of the wind that hauls at the inside of a building, it then becomes the material for the work "Masih", for saxophone quartet, Javier Torres Maldonado proposes not only one of his most impactful chamber work, it also takes with himself three affirmed international soloists, all oaf them professors of their instrument en the conservatories of Saragoza, Navarra and ESMAR of Valencia, Spain. The saxophonist Xelo Giner, the flutist Anna Marbles (recorder) and the flutist Roberto Casado. Alternating with the "Quitetto Kaizen", talented students from the class of Giner.
A caleidoscopic program in which the expressivity and the virtuosity of the wind instruments melt in an fascinating and surprising experience.

"Riti" is a ceremony to evoke spirits and demons we cannot see, from which we forget, to take myself and who partecipate to a type of listening, a different listening, to be able to feel them and to feel ourselves. Get closer to the subtle line that separates our interior-exterior, to perceive the superposition.

Damo Arabsolgar is a poet, composer, author and interpreter.
In parallel to it's intense live activity with the duo MOMBAO, in the last six years has worked in secret on the writing of his soloist project, to which he returns in his most intimate nature as songwriter.
His songs are oceanic and sideral, like visual poetry able to give voice to parts submerged in himself, premonitions of the future.
His album, co-produced with Giacomo Carlone (Angelica, Dadasutra, Abe), positions himself between two worlds; between songwriting, experimental electronic music, new classical, jazz, rock and classical contemporary. Collaborating in this project with Vincenzo Parisi, Trío Cavalazzi and Guinevere.
For this occasion he will present himself as a trio: Rhodes, drums, acoustic guitar, modular synth and electronic along Arturo Zanaica and Giacomo Carlone.

The snare drum turns into a fountain of infinite sounds. For Romane Bouffioux the instrument it's her tool to explore the limits. Audio and visual noise collision in music.

Romane Bouffioux is a percussionist, performer and professor based in Bern, Switzerland; specialized in contemporary music.
She's particularly interested in creation, interdisciplinary arts and collaborations in the context of the "neue musik".

The "Carta Bianca" to the saxophonist Manuel Teles proposes to the public a concert that privileges sound, setting it at the center of the performance.
The first part will be dedicated to it's last album "Lisboa-Milano" (Stradivarius, 2023), in which will interpretate three works from the composers Salvatore Sciarrino, Vincenzo Parisi and Luca Francesconi, all present in the CD.
The second set will be a free improvisation, putting in practice all his artistic influences alternating acoustic and electronic sounds.

In the score of "Single stroke roll meditation", the musician is invited to explore all the sound possibilities while playing, but the duration or amplitud of this exploration are not defined. How can we then embrace such an utopic approach in the era in which we have instantaneous and complete access to all the informations in every instant? This score, by its poetic and flexible nature, opens various ways of interaction between the musicians, making evident the power dynamics in a musical context that in other cases would be predeterminted.

Unique performance that utilizes a system of feedback, vibrators and lights to explore the movement of sound. The compositions combine electrical and analogical elements, passing through tibetan bells and vibrators and at last a mixer, creating a sound experience that is both fluid and dynamic.

Sound is Space, and this performance speaks about spaces and the people that lives in them.
Sound is Time in Space, and this performance speaks about time that we had compressed and distorted. All that time that we haven't perceived because we were too focused in other things or that, in the contrary, we never saw it pass away.
All these Spaces, all these Times and all these Silences have a sounding image that echoes inside our head.

"Space is only noise" is an event, an experience of vibrations that fills the space in an ordered and non casual way.
Signs that express actively its content, signifying above themselves. They appear as mute, without knowing their true meaning.

The story of Odisseo starts long before the war of Troy, even before of his long and adventurous pilgrimage and his agonizing return to homeland; starts with a smart and curious boy, unaware of the destiny that awaits him.

This young Odisseo is the protagonist of "Il Bambino di Itaca", contemporary opera composed by Matteo Manzitti with the libretto of Daniela Morelli, author of the homonymus book; to which Gianca Liano realices the orchestration for its presentation on Milan on the 25th of June at the Teatro Manzoni.

The Accademia della Voce del Piemonte premieres the piece "Cuatro Paisajes con Carretera, y un Momento Espiritual", commission for the project "Il suono dei parchi e dei laghi del Piemonte".

The piece is dedicated to the Basilica del Sacro Monte di Varallo, place where it was premiered. In the composition style of "musica meta-paesaggistica", Gianca Liano utilices as sound material different elements of the soundscape from the exteriors and interiors of the Sacro Monte di Varallo park to create a work that explores different relationships between the timbre of the instruments.

The Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano plays "Le montagne piangono neve" under the direction of Riccardo Bisatti at the Auditorium di Milano Fondazione Cariplo, as part of the final exam of the masters degree in music composition of the Coservatorio di Milano "Giuseppe Verdi".

The foundation of the orchestral piece is the search for extreme contrasts. Massive orchestral moments are contrasted with delicated instrumental textures.

The first part is structured, rigid and potent.
The second part is caotic and fragile.

Guitarist Vincenzo Ruggiero interprets the world premiere of the piece" Orilla, tombeau pour Vladislav Soifer" as part of the "Momenti Musicali" program at the Conservatorio di Milano "Giuseppe Verdi".
A concert with varied musical proposals that refreshes the contemporary music media, interpretated with great maestry from Vincenzo.

"Orilla" plays tribute to Vladislav Soifer, a great friend and composition teacher for many years. The selection of guitar solo and specifically the tecniques from which the work is build (being the most important: the tremolo) makes reference to the memory of various life experiences during my life in Costa Rica.

A hand that tries to reach the memory and at it's shadows finds nostalgia/grains of sand.

Thanks to everyone that joined us at the release of "Opus Cero". It was a night full of music.
